SNOOP DOGGED!

Snoop Dogg was arrested for investigation of illegally possessing a handgun and drugs as he left NBC Studios after performing on "The Tonight Show With Jay Leno," tuesday police said.
The 35-year-old rapper, whose real name is Calvin Broadus, and two members of his entourage were arrested around 6 p.m. Tuesday after a search of his Diamond Bar home and car, Sgt. Kevin Grandalski said.

Police seized a handgun and some illegal drugs, Grandalski said. He did not have details."He was in a car pulling out of the studio" when police stopped him, said Donald Etra, the rapper's attorney.

Etra said he believed Broadus was booked at the jail for investigation of being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. He made bail of $60,000 and was released shortly after 1 a.m. Wednesday, about seven hours after his arrest.

"As of this point, he stands innocent of all charges," Etra said. "The goal tonight was to get him out of jail. The goal tomorrow is to deal with the case."

GAME and AKON are #1 #2

RAPPER GAME
Compton's The Game has proven his selling power despite twisted label situations & no production from Dr. Dre, as his sophomore album Doctor's Advocate moved almost 360,000 copies the first week in stores.

The Game, born Jayceon Taylor, suffered numerous setbacks while recording the album, which is expected to top the Billboard charts next week.

He feuded with powerful rap collective 50 Cent and G-Unit and was eventually kicked off of the powerhouse Aftermath/Interscope labels due to the negative publicity surrounding the beef and his "G-Unot" campaign.

The Game leaked the entire album himself on the Internet to give fans a preview of the album.

"I got my five times platinum fans that are going to get the album, so I think I'm going to be alright. I'ma move some units. I'm do my numbers you gotta respect it".
Game's debut The Documentary almost 600,000 units its first week in stores and has sold over 4 million copies worldwide.

Game's Doctor's Advocate was released on Black Wall Street/A&M/Geffen, a unit of Universal Music Group.

Universal scored another success with R&B singer/rapper Akon, as his SRC/Universal Motown album Konvicted snagged the #2 spot, moving over 285,000 copies during its first week on the shelves.

Akon's sophomore album's sales were powered by the success of his singles “Smack That" with Eminem and "I Wanna Love You” featuring Snoop Dogg.

BLACK EYED PEAS WIN BIG @ AMA's

The Black Eyed Peas were the big winners at the American Music Awards in L.A. on Tuesday night, which also featured a surprise appearance by Britney Spears and Clay Aiken joking about his recent beef with Kelly Ripa.

The Peas took home three awards, more than any other artist, winning best rap/hip-hop album, best rap/hip-hop group, and best soul/R&B group. The Red Hot Chili Peppers, Kelly Clarkson, Mary J. Blige and Rascal Flatts took home two awards apiece.

Less fortunate was Kevin Federline, who was not in attendance but still managed to get attention – for all the wrong reasons. In a comedy skit, host Jimmy Kimmel took a fake K-Fed, crated him up in a box, and threw him into the ocean, calling him a "no-hit wonder."

Shortly after the skit, Federline's estranged wife, Spears, took the stage to present the award for favorite female soul/R&B artist to Mary J. Blige. If Spears had any response to Kimmel's bit, she didn't let it show.

Jamie Foxx earned the award for favorite male soul/R&B artist and also performed "Wish U Were Here" from his 2005 album Unpredictable. Foxx dedicated his performance to his biological mother, who attended the show and whom Foxx hadn't seen in years.

At one point, Tori Spelling and Aiken joked about the singer's run-in last week with Kelly Ripa. As Aiken was introducing John Mayer, Spelling put her hand over his mouth and said, "I'll tell you where that hand's been later."

Other award winners of the night included Nickelback, Faith Hill, Eminem, Sean Paul, Shakira, and Kirk Franklin. American Idol winner Carrie Underwood was named best new breakthrough artist.

The audience was treated to performances from artists such as Beyoncé, the Pussycat Dolls, Nelly Furtado, Gwen Stefani, Jay-Z, Lionel Richie (introduced by his daughter Nicole), and Barry Manilow.

The event was held at the Shrine Auditorium.

KRAMER HATES BLACK FOLKS!

BLIND ITEM from 11/2005: 'This white actor appeared on a long running TV series. This sitcom is one of the most successful shows in television history. This actor was given his own show when the series was cancelled. The show lasted a few seasons; his career took an nose-dive and never recovered. This actor has a secret; he has an intense hatred for African-Americans. So much so, he makes donations to white supremacist websites. He also has a reputation for being a lousy lover, his nickname in Hollywood is: ‘The one minute man.’'
Don't believe what this bigot's publicist writes as his apology. Once a racist, always a racist.

Fast Forward 11/18/06
Kramer goes crazy at L.A. comedy club and calls a man nigger repetively after saying
"they used to hang niggers upside down 50 years ago and thats what would happen to you" to a black man in the audience.

And I'd say boycott anything and everything Kramer, but let's face he -- brotha don't have much goin' on to boycott!

KOBE SCORES 17000th point in his NBA Career

LOS ANGELES (AP) -- Kobe Bryant became the youngest player in NBA history to reach 17,000 points, going over the mark in the second quarter of the Los Angeles Lakers' game against the Toronto Raptors on Friday night.

Bryant hit a 16-foot jumper from the right baseline off a pass from rookie Jordan Farmar for his 17,001st point. About a minute later, he scored on a driving layup that extended the Lakers' lead.

The crowd cheered, but didn't appear to be aware of the milestone and there was no special announcement.

At 28 years and 86 days, Bryant got to 17,000 faster than Wilt Chamberlain, Michael Jordan, Oscar Robertson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and former teammate Shaquille O'Neal.

Chamberlain and Jordan did so at 28, but Chamberlain was 16 days older than Bryant and Jordan was 196 days older. Robertson, Abdul-Jabbar and O'Neal were all 29.

Last January, Bryant scored 81 points against Toronto, second-most in a game behind Chamberlain, who had 100 points in March 1962.

WORLD MUSIC AWARDS WEDNESDAY-MIKE J

He came, he saw, he changed his tune.
Disappointing the devoted fans who came out Wednesday just to hear the King of Pop perform "Thriller" at the World Music Awards in London, Jackson instead took to the stage accompanied by a big group of children and sang an abbreviated version of "We Are the World."

The swaying, clapping kids surrounded Jackson as he offered up a few verses of the hit 1985 ballad before accepting the evening's Diamond Award, given to artists who have sold 100 million-plus records.

"There have been so many people who have loved me and stood by me," Jackson said. "I love all the fans from the bottom of my heart."

With that said, he tossed his black jacket into the crowd and exited the stage.

Wednesday marked the 48-year-old artist's first performance since 2000, and first public appearance in Britain since 1997.

Event organizers had said last week that Jackson would perform the title song from his 1982 mega-hit Thriller, to commemorate the album's 25th anniversary. With more than 51 million copies sold in the U.S. and more than 100 million worldwide -thriller is the best selling c/d of all time.

Stopping briefly to chat with journalists on the red carpet, however, Jackson said it was a "misunderstanding" that allowed people to believe he was going to sing "Thriller." Then, when asked where he had been living lately, he replied, "All over the place."
